The AO Handler Glove® is designed for falconers and professionals who work daily with birds in bird control, zoos, aviaries and rehabilitation. It is intended for the everyday handling of crows, caracaras, falcons and buteos, among other birds.
It is made from calfskin, prepared by the tannery to AO’s own specifications. Leather selection focuses on strength and a feel appropriate for glove making, taking the needs of everyday handling into account.
The Handler offers a more affordable option within our glove range, maintaining the care in materials and construction that characterizes AO.
Choosing the length
- 27 cm / 10.6 in: recommended for longwing falcons, except Gyrfalcons.
- 35 cm / 13.8 in: recommended for Gyrfalcons, Harris’s Hawks and buteos such as Red-tailed Hawks.
Professional customization
The AO Handler Glove® is available by request with your company or organization logo. It is ideal for keeping a consistent and professional look for zoos, conservation centers, bird abatement companies and other working teams.

Wrap a flexible tape around the widest part of your palm, just below the knuckles. Keep your hand relaxed, exclude the thumb and do not pull the tape tight.
